Denise Simonsen has been a member of the Fort Lewis visiting faculty since 1996. She earned her M.S. in Genetic Counseling. Her graduate research focused on prenatal screening and support groups. Her current interests include infertility and cancer genetics. Denise’s primary area of academic interest is human development with an emphasis on genetics, prenatal development, and birth defects. She is interested in working with students with learning disabilities and encouraging critical thinking and academic success.
