Complete VA form 22-1990 (application
for educational benefits). This needs to be done as early as possible after you
have been accepted by Fort Lewis College. It can take a minimum of four to six
weeks for you claim to be processed.
Provide a certified copy
of your separation papers, DD214 (active duty) or an original “Notice of
Basic Eligibility” from your reserve unit (reservists).
