The Title III Mathematics Foundations and STEM Success Endowment
Title III will match donations made to an endowment fund for the purpose of continuing support for STEM activities beyond the life of the grant. This means that a $100 donation will result in an additional $100 of federal money being added to the endowment. We hope to raise up to $300,000 over the 5 years to build an endowment of $600,000.
By federal law, the endowment funds must be invested for 20 years. During that time, the college may use half of the income to “support the institutionalization of new practices and improvements” that emerge from the project. This may include scholarships for Native American and disadvantaged students, particularly STEM majors.
To contribute, send a donation the Fort Lewis College Foundation and designate that it should go to the Title III Mathematics Foundations and STEM Success Endowment.
