All Comp 250 and Comp 252 students are invited to enter the
Celebration of Student Writing Flyer Contest!

student writing at FLC

Guidelines:

•You may create your 8 ½ x 11 inch flyer individually or with a partner.
•Flyers will be printed in color and in black and white so be sure your design translates well to both.
•Please print your first and last name, the course (Comp 250 or Comp 252), and the instructor’s name on the back of your entry.

Judging Criteria:

•The flyer uses the principles of visual design advantageously
•The design translates well to both color and black and white
•The flyer demonstrates an understanding of the rhetorical situation by:
•Communicating a clear purpose
•Addressing multi audiences (faculty, students, community partners, etc.)
•Minimizing constraints
•Using the rhetorical appeals (logos, pathos, ethos) strategically

Submit your flyer to your Comp 2 instructor by 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 15.  You may also drop off your entry at Jones 104 in Pritchard’s mailbox.
