TRS 90

The CRE can be applied to the following TRS 90 learning outcomes, which are to help TRS 90 students learn to:

  • Develop reading as a process through pre-reading exercises; annotation; reading logs; analyzing purpose, audience, and point of view

TRS 91

The CRE can be applied to the following TRS 91 learning outcomes:

  • Recognize the rhetorical nature of all texts
  • Develop their critical thinking and reading skills through careful analysis of professional and student essays and other reading selections

With writing assignments tailored around the CRE selection, the CRE can also be applied to the following TRS 91 learning outcomes:

  • Develop writing as a process by prewriting; analyzing purpose, audience, and point of view; drafting; reading/reviewing drafts; revising; and editing for correctness
