Diane Van Voorhees

Dianne Van Voorhees is an attorney who has appeared in courts across Colorado, including the Colorado Supreme Court. She has practiced in many different areas, including Federal Indian law.

Over the course of her career, she helped develop the Colorado Domestic Violence Benchbook and has been recognized for her expertise in the Indian Child Welfare Act, the Law Student Practices Act, and the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act. She is also the chair of the 17th Judicial District’s Access to Justice Committee and a past chair of Colorado’s Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Council.

Among the honors she’s received are the Adams Broomfield Bar Association's 2012 Citizen of the Year Award, the Denver Indian Center Inc.'s Local Community Impact Award, and the Denver American Indian Commission Mayor's Diversity Award.

Dianne's term expires December 31, 2020.
