Student Application

The Environmental Pathway is a multi-faceted program led by Fort Lewis College & the Southwest Colorado Education Collaborative designed to engage high school students passionate about the environment and climate challenges. To bridge the gaps between high school, college and careers, FLC and the Collaborative have created an innovative program which includes:

  • hands-on outdoor expeditions
  • the development of real world projects
  • access to environmental mobile learning labs
  • career exploration
  • an on-campus environmental laboratory
  • unique concurrent enrollment courses to further student learning and engagement around climate, the environment and indigenous perspectives.

Students will receive direct support from high school advisors and FLC student mentors throughout the school year, and will have the opportunity to pursue their interests in partnership with their peers in the region.

Note: The application for Summer 2022 is now closed.
