In partnership with Mountain Studies Institute, the Environmental Pathway is thrilled to offer a series of field-based excursions throughout the 2022-23 school year. These all-day trips are free of charge and take place around the Southwest. They are designed to help students learn the ropes of field-based scientific discovery as they collect samples, measure data, and report their findings. Transportation is provided by Fort Lewis College and lunch is included. Students must complete waivers and registration forms below to participate.

Thanks to a partnership between Fort Lewis College and the Southwest Colorado Education Collaborative, the Environmental Pathway is a free program designed for regional high school students who are interested in exploring climate issues, biodiversity in the region, and other environmental inquiries. If you’re passionate about learning, then the EP is your trail of discovery.
Connect with local leaders, college mentors, and high school students from across the region while exploring environmental college and career options!
