The Old Fort Country Store is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, from March through November. It’s restocked on Tuesdays and Fridays with seasonally available vegetables, grass-fed beef from the Old Fort, local pork, and a variety of other locally-produced foods. The Country Store is located at the Old Fort, at 18683 Highway 140, about 25 minutes from Durango. Look for the signs and take the middle driveway in to the property.
The Country Store opened in 2016. Once a soda fountain and pie shop when Fort Lewis College was located in Hesperus, the Country Store supports dozens of young farmers to grow good food, and helps delicious local food become a part of every meal!
