A Learning Community is a set of courses that are linked together. Students take all the associated courses together as a cohort. For an Honors Learning Community, the Honors course is the anchor course around which the other courses interact and impact. Students are expected to explore all three courses together, and use information in each course within the other classes. These courses are usually only offered in the Fall. There are two seats reserved at the upper-division level for advanced Honors students to assist with mentoring students who wish to become more involved in the honors program, and potentially join the John F. Reed Honors Program and begin the process of earning the minor in honors titled Rhetoric of Inquiry.
