Student Learning Outcomes
As a result of successfully completing a study abroad term students will be able to articulate the diversity of human experience by looking at foundational assumptions and by considering race, ethnicity, gender, social class, age, and human identity.
As a result of successfully completing a study abroad term students will be able to demonstrate time management skills as well as skills in navigating bureaucracies and increasing their frustration tolerance.
As a result of taking GS 251 students will be able to integrate diverse disciplinary approaches to human organizations, structures, institutions, and histories into a synthesis of those disciplinary approaches—an interdisciplinary skill set—that gives insight into individual and group endeavors.
As a result of taking GS 250 and GS 251 students will develop an understanding of their own cultural identity.
As a result of successfully completing a study abroad term students will be able to identify their own biases and cultural stereotypes.
