About Meghan Chase

Meghan Chase received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford, CT, in 2009 and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2018. She has taught at Manchester Community College, University of Colorado, and Summit Middle School and led various art workshops and programming for teens and youth.

Her work crosses disciplines between painting, drawing, fiber, and installation. She often incorporates physical labor and the body into her process. Her work has been exhibited across the country, including ARC gallery in Chicago, Kingston Gallery in Boston, and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art.

In addition to her work in the arts, Meghan has also worked off and on as a farmhand for the past decade, often a part of a barter system to get to know her community, reconnect with the land and push back against capitalist culture. She spent this past summer living and working on a farm in Lafayette, CO, before joining the Fort Lewis faculty.
