Our Music Program's dual admission process

Admission to FLC's Music Program is a dual admission process. Application for admission to the College is through the Admission Office, and formal admission to the Music Program is through an audition admission. While you can audition and be accepted into the Music program before admission to the College, that does not guarantee admission to the College.

Performing Arts audition dates — 2023 TBD

Dual admission process:

  1. Apply for admission to Fort Lewis College.
  2. Submit a Supplemental Application Form.
  3. Schedule your audition: Wait to be contacted by a music faculty member to schedule your audition. While we prefer an on campus audition, you can submit a video audition with the department chair's approval.
  4. Audition: Expect your audition to last about ten minutes. Prepare these audition materials:
  5. Acceptance to Fort Lewis College
  6. Apply for Scholarships: You may be eligible for a Music scholarship once you have been admitted to FLC and have completed a successful audition. Apply early and be admitted prior to March 15 for priority scholarship consideration.
  7. Acceptance as a music major
