How to use Photoshelter
If you have images that you want to be considered for use by FLC Marketing, contact Marketing Photographer Ben Brashear, email@example.com, so that you can be added to the contributors list in Photoshelter.
Images that are contributed will need IPTC metadata added to each image. Metadata can be attached to each image using Adobe Lightroom or, Photos on Mac. Metadata should include:
If you do not have access to Adobe Lightroom or a similar program, email your metadata details to photographer Ben Brashear.
How to Add Metadata in Mac Photos and Adobe Lightroom
Once the image files have been prepped and metadata attached, you are now ready to upload the images to Photoshelter. Login using your FLC CAS credentials. If, you are an approved contributor, you will see the option to “upload” images located in the upper right-hand menu. Click “upload” and you will be asked to label the image/s with a description. Please be concise and accurate. If you are relying on Marketing to add metadata to your images, please include your contact info, describe the image location/class or event name. Ben may be able to provide screen shots of this for you.
Note: Images uploaded will go for viewing and approval by Art Director Anna McBrayer and Photographer Ben Brashear. Viewing, approval and editing will take between 1-3 weeks. As photos are approved, they will be made available for download and use in Photoshelter.
