An uncommon way to learn
Teaching & Learning Services at Fort Lewis College fosters a community of practice around inclusive teaching and learning:
FLC is a community of people who love to teach and are excited to learn. We help you bring this to light!
We promote the accessibility of all digital content in courses for all students through ongoing professional development and trainings. We empower faculty and staff to create and adapt all electronic resources and content to ensure their accessibility for all students.
Since FLC offered its first online course in 2014, we’ve been committed to providing meaningful and engaging learning opportunities that students can participate in while working or living away from campus. We are dedicated to assisting faculty in the creation of quality online, hybrid, and HyFlex courses that are supportive, inclusive, and collaborative.
We collaborate with faculty around instructional technologies and innovative pedagogies for student learning and success. We collect student feedback and data to drive decisions around technology, course design, and distance education course development. Our team is continuously learning and refining our practices to bring innovative technologies that expand the digital learning environment.
