This program doesn't just compete. It wins.

Fort Lewis College fields 15 varsity sports in NCAA Division II competition—and across all of them, Skyhawks athletes carry a 3.25 GPA. The men's basketball team claimed back-to-back RMAC Tournament championships in 2023 and 2024. The women's soccer team reached the RMAC Tournament final in 2024, losing 1-0 to the top-ranked team in all of Division II after beating two opponents on penalty kicks. The men's soccer program has three NCAA national titles. And the cycling team, founded in Durango, the mountain biking capital of America, has 24 national championships and sends athletes to the Olympics.

FLC President Heather Shotton isn't just an administrator who supports the athletics program—she's a softball mom. Her daughter wore the Skyhawks uniform and competed on this campus.
