Every spring, FLC Athletics gathers to celebrate its student-athletes—the people who compete, study, and serve at the same time. This is what a Skyhawks season looks like when it's over.

Your visit comes with a day on the mountain

Schedule an official campus visit, and your prospective student receives a complimentary Purgatory Resort day pass for skiing and snowboarding in winter and scenic uplift in summer. Accompanying family members ski at 50% off standard pricing, for up to four people.

Passes are issued by FLC Admission at the end of your visit and redeemed directly at Purgatory, so you can plan the whole trip around one great weekend.

This program doesn't just compete. It wins.

Fort Lewis College fields 15 varsity sports in NCAA Division II competition—and across all of them, Skyhawks athletes carry a 3.25 GPA. The men's basketball team claimed back-to-back RMAC Tournament championships in 2023 and 2024. The women's soccer team reached the RMAC Tournament final in 2024, losing 1-0 to the top-ranked team in all of Division II after beating two opponents on penalty kicks. The men's soccer program has three NCAA national titles. And the cycling team, founded in Durango, the mountain biking capital of America, has 24 national championships and sends athletes to the Olympics.

FLC President Heather Shotton isn't just an administrator who supports the athletics program—she's a softball mom. Her daughter wore the Skyhawks uniform and competed on this campus. President Shotton knows what it costs to send a kid to play college ball, what it means to watch them compete, and what it takes to make that experience worth it. At Fort Lewis College, it is.
