New Students at FLC

Ready to start your journey at Fort Lewis College? Follow the steps below to begin!

Step One: Apply to FLC

The first step to becoming a student at Fort Lewis College is to apply!  Click here to view the Admission page.  Click here for a direct link to the Admission Application.  

Step Two: Create Your FLC Account

Once you have (1) applied and (2) been accepted to the college you can create your online account.  Click here for a link to create your student account.  

Step Three: Confirm Your Enrollment

All admitted freshmen and transfer students must confirm their intent to enroll and submit a non-refundable $100 Undergraduate Confirmation Fee prior to course registration.  Click here for more detailed information about the confirmation fee and information about how to confirm.  

Step Four: Apply for Financial Aid

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the United States Department of Education each year to apply for financial aid at Fort Lewis College.  Click here for more detailed information.

Step Five: Apply for Housing

Step Six: Submit Your Transcripts

It is your responsibility to submit your final official high school and college transcripts to us.  Click here to find out more.

Step Seven: Take the New Student Advising Tutorial

After paying your $100 confirmation fee you will receive an email to the email address you applied with.  This email will contain a "New Student Advising Tutorial".  This email can take several hours to be sent but WILL be sent within 24 hours of your confirmed enrollment.  Once you have completed this tutorial you may call the front desk at 970-382-6985 to schedule and advising appointment. 

New students CANNOT schedule online appointments and must call the front desk.   

Step Eight: Complete Health Requirements

State of Colorado Law requires all students to submit an immunization record with proof of two MMR vaccinations (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) to the Student Health Center.  Click here for more information.  

Step Nine: Schedule Your Advising Appointment

To make an advising appointment, you must complete the following steps in the order given:

1. Create your FLC account

2. Confirm your enrollment

3. Complete the online "New Student Advising" tutorial (required for all new freshman and transfer students)

4. Call 970-382-6985 or toll free (866) 385-3949 to schedule your appointment

You can have your advising appointment over the phone or in person, whichever you prefer. If you schedule a phone appointment, you’ll need to be sitting at a computer (with internet access) during this appointment.  Click here for more infromation.
