Barger Honored by RMAC With Inaugural Athletic Trainer of the Year Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – When you think of Fort Lewis College athletics, you would be hard-pressed to not think about Wayne Barger. Barger became synonymous with FLC and will now have another honor to take with him after being named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Head Athletic Trainer of the Year Friday during the RMAC Hall of Fame banquet.

Men’s Soccer to Host Alumni Game, Pair of Preseason Matches in August

DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College men's soccer team will be battling the alumni in the annual contest on Saturday, August 25. Before that takes place, the Skyhawks will have a chance to get some work in with a pair of preseason contests against Otero on August 16 and Adams State on August 18.

RMAC Champion Men’s Basketball Brings in Power-Packed Recruiting Class for 2018

DURANGO, Colo. – With a team that saw six seniors graduate on a run to a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title, Fort Lewis College Head Men's Basketball Coach Bob Pietrack and Associate Head Coach Daniel Steffensen had to hit the recruiting trail to restock and he certainly did. With an incoming class that features six transfers and two freshmen, the Skyhawks will have a new, yet familiar look to them when they hit the court in 2018-19.

FLC Announces Track Reorganization

DURANGO, Colo. -- Fort Lewis College Director of Athletics Barney Hinkle is pleased to announce a restructuring of its cross country & track programs effective for 2018-19. Men's outdoor track and field will be added, with a track-only focus (no field events) in both programs, and the indoor aspect of the track season will be trimmed. The men's and women's programs will now be consolidated to mirror each other (in both travel and event specialty) in the fall and spring, utilizing resources more effectively to improve quality, retention, and recruiting. The consolidated program structure will allow the men to compete in the spring, send both teams to higher quality races year round, and allow the budget to be used more efficiently.

Flores Welcomes Pair of Hometown Assistants to Coaching Staff

Skyhawks Season Ends in RMAC Semifinal to Lindenwood, 18-8

DENVER – May 4, 2018 – The second ranked team in Division II, Lindenwood University, handed the Fort Lewis College women's lacrosse team an 18-8 loss Friday afternoon in the semifinal round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament, hosted by Regis University in Denver.

Three Men’s Golfers Tabbed to RMAC All-Academic Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS – May 4, 2018 – Three Fort Lewis College men's golfers were tabbed to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Golf All-Academic teams.  Tyler Blohm (Tucson, Ariz.) and Matt Huntley (Amarillo, Texas) were voted to the First Team, and Eric Neal (Lake Havasu City, Ariz.) earned Honor Roll accolades.
