Molding minds, large and small

The Clay family’s connection to FLC spans three generations, and a new fund will keep that legacy going. The James and Cheryl Clay Fund will benefit students with day-care expenses at the on-campus Campbell Child & Family Center.

Jim is a professor emeritus of Economics, and his wife, Cheryl, is a professor emerita of Teacher Education and founder of the Campbell Center. Their son, Paul (Economics, ’98), is now on the faculty in the School of Business Administration. Paul’s wife, Marnie (Chemistry, ’98), is coordinator for the MARC program on campus. And Paul and Marnie’s son, Fred, is attending the Campbell Center this year.
