November 4th - 28th, 2011
In this site-specific installation, artist and historian Dylan Miner evokes local geography in order to address marginalized and forgotten histories, ecological destruction, human migration, and Indigenous sovereignties. Animas Perdidas uncovers the lost souls of history through a complex incorporation of printmaking, installation, and art as social practice. The questions it asks - Can a bicycle be a work of art? Can art create social transformation?
