Patricia Sonnino is a painter living and working in San Francisco. Her current paintings, inspired by urban environments, visually describe unstable and ephemeral conditions, creating images inspired by construction structures: the barriers, nets, and scaffolding. Like theatrical scrims, these structures conceal the chaos of construction and introduce regular patterns into the landscape. She captures that dynamic with paint, documenting the filtered light and masked forms.
