Susan Moss earned her MFA in painting and drawing at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She teaches courses on drawing, the art world, and textiles. Since coming to Fort Lewis College, Moss has shown her work in numerous juried, invitational, national, and regional venues, earning many awards. Much of her work has focused on large-scale drawings that explore domesticity, memory, and the ordinary as recurring themes. Recently she has been studying both historic and contemporary textiles, and uses stitch, especially hand embroidery, as a way of drawing.
