Athletic Training Education Program

Notice to prospective students:

New admissions to the Athletic Training Education Program are currently suspended while Fort Lewis College phases out the bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and analyzes our ability to transition to a master's degree. Current students who have been formally accepted into the professional phase of the Athletic Training Education Program will be able to complete their degree at Fort Lewis College. Courses required by these students will continue to be taught through the 2017-2018 academic year. No new students can declare an Athletic Training major. Students not formally admitted to the professional phase of the Athletic Training Education Program will not be able to complete the degree program.  Fort Lewis College is accredited by the Commision on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The program has been placed on Probation as of February 19, 2017 by the CAATE, 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Sute 100, Austin, TX 87831-3101.  

Requirements for BA in Athletic Training

For students to earn a BA in Athletic Training, each must obtain 40 General Education Credits, 6 Free Elective Credits, and 74 Athletic Training Major Credits. A Suggested Course Sequence is provided to demonstrate an average 8 semester plan to guide students.
