The Faculty Research Laboratory is adjacent to the cell culture facility and where all major research equipment is housed including an Accuri flow cytometer and an ABI real-time PCR system.

The Biology Department also has a Biosafety Laboratory that is newly constructed as of January 2010. This laboratory is approved for working with Biosafety Level 2 pathogens, as well as limited work with Biosafety Level 3 pathogens. This laboratory space is approximately 300 ft2 and is equipped with a biosafety cabinet, centrifuge with a sealed rotor, water bath, incubator, sink, and eye wash station.
