Our goal is to strengthen our relationships with local, regional, and national employers while increasing your presence at Fort Lewis College.  We hope to build a win-win situation for you and our graduates.   We aim to: 

• To increase the number of job offers to Fort Lewis College Students and Alumni.
• To increase our ability to track student employment.
• To increase employers involvement with Fort Lewis College Students and Alumni.
• To increase our network of potential internship host sites.

A great avenue to increase your visibility on campus is to join us at our events and workshops.  Career Services sponsors several important Career Events & Workshops throughout each semester including our Fall Etiquette Dinner and our Spring Job Fair and Teacher Candidate Preview Event.  We host Career Week each semester the week leading up to the Job Fair, please contact a Career Services Coordinator to facilitate one of these workshops.

Information Sessions:
Fill out a request form online in the Skyhawks Job Source for an Information Session under SHORTCUTS section on the HOME page "Request a New Information Session".  Please make sure to check what type of audio-visual equipment you need. 

Contact a Career Services Coordinator to schedule a table in the Student Union.  We recommend tabling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday - Thursday to get the most traffic.

The Etiquette Dinner is designed for Juniors and Seniors, and provides these students the valuable opportunity to learn about professional business etiquette, while networking with business professionals.  Since its inception, the Etiquette Dinner has become one of the most popular events on campus.  Employers & students interested in attending should contact Pat Dommer at 970-247-7562, EBH 136.  Employer sponsorships are available beginning at $325.

Employer Relations Program

Fort Lewis College Career Services is pleased to introduce our new Employer Relations Program, a vehicle designed to provide key Employer Partners increased visibility and presence on the Fort Lewis College campus.  Fort Lewis offers a distinctive source of talent combining dynamic academic programs, a liberal arts perspective, and an AACSB accredited School of Business.  Being a partner will afford additional opportunities to promote your organization to our diverse student population through multiple avenues.

A new internship program coordinated by the FLC Career Services office and the Durango Chamber of Commerce
creates opportunities for students to get that hands-on professional experience in and around Durango, earning workplace wisdom and insights, while deepening their skills and knowledge.

To connect local employers with Fort Lewis College students, the Durango Chamber of Commerce has launched a page on

Career Services recruits, mentors, and supports those student interns, while also helping businesses establish effective and successful internship experiences.  More....
