REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN MUSIC:

A student majoring in any discipline other than Music may complete a minor in Music upon satisfactorily fulfilling the core and elective requirements. At least twelve (12) credits must be discrete from any other major or minor.

Minor Core:

MU 128 - Theory and Musicianship I Credits: 5
MU 129 - Theory and Musicianship II Credits: 5
MU 331 - Music History I Credits: 3
OR MU 332 - Music History II Credits: 3

Minor Choice:

Complete a minimum of six (6) credits of applied music courses (MU 109(A-I), MU 209(A-I), MU 309(A-I)). At least two (2) credits must be upper division.

TOTAL REQUIRED FOR MINOR - CREDITS: 19

Prior to course registration, students should review all courses for prerequisites, minimum prerequisite grade requirements and minimum class standing.
