SOCIAL JUSTICE WORKSHOPS & DIALOGUE

Student Union Ballroom, Colorado Room, and La Plata Room - each workshop will run twice

  • Immigrant Caravan – We recently had several faculty members journey down to the US/Mexican border to see firsthand what is happening. See the pictures, ask questions, and learn the truth about what is really happening.
  • Black Lives Matter – Learn from students about the movement’s origins, where it currently stands, and how you can support it going forward.
  • LGTBQ+ - A panel of students from the LGTBQ+ community will share their experiences, answer your questions, and provide suggestions on how we can be a more supportive campus.
  • Reclaiming Your Dream at FLC – Do you have ideas or suggestions to make FLC better in regards to how it represents or treats your race/ethnicity, gender identity, religion, beliefs, or other aspects of your identity? This session is led by a student facilitator and it provides an opportunity for students to share their ideas of how FLC can be more supportive and/or better represent them. Those suggestions will then be given to the appropriate departments around campus depending on the specific suggest. Your voice could make change for future FLC students!
