Sustainability is a core commitment of Fort Lewis College and is integral to a liberal arts education. The College has two commitments mapping the way for Fort Lewis College into a sustainable future. Read our Environmental Policy statement.
Fort Lewis is proud to be a charter signatory of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), signed by President Brad Bartel in 2007.
In December of 2009, the President along with the Board of Trustees approved Fort Lewis College's Sustainability Action Plan. This success was a result of over two years of work by students, staff, faculty, and administrators. This plan will help Fort Lewis College make decisions and set priorities. It outlines specific targets and the actions the College can take to achieve them.
Visit the Pathways to Sustainability website for more information on Fort Lewis’s Commitments.
