Fort Lewis College awards three types of renewable scholarships to assist undergraduate students with financing their college education.
The terms and conditions published for the initial award year will be unchanged for the duration of the scholarship award. These are listed below for each institutional scholarship.
FIRST GENERATION SCHOLARSHIP
Summary
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a first-time Baccalaureate-seeking first-year student for a Fall or Spring semester; has completed all requirements of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); is a Colorado resident for tuition classification purposes; reported on the FAFSA that neither parent (birth or adoptive) has an earned baccalaureate degree or higher. Because there is a limited number of these awards, meeting minimum eligibility standards does not result in automatic award.
Restricted to: Educational expenses.
Annual Award Amount: $2,000.
Disbursement Amount: 50% of annual award in the Fall semester and 50% of annual award in the Spring semester.
Disbursement Requirement: Enrollment in a minimum of 12 credits by Census Date.
Renewal Criteria: Minimum of 2.00 cumulative GPA.
Award Length: Renewable up to 8 consecutive Fall and Spring semesters.

FIRST-YEAR DEAN'S TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a first-time baccalaureate-seeking first-year student for a Fall or Spring semester; has a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.00; AND has a minimum ACT Composite score of 21 or a minimum SAT combined score of 1060.
Restricted To: Fort Lewis College tuition expenses.
Annual Award Amount: $3000-$6000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.
Renewal Criteria: Minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA

FIRST-YEAR PROVOST'S TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Annual Award Amount: $4000-$8000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.

FIRST-YEAR INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as an international, first-time baccalaureate-seeking first-year student for the Fall or Spring semester; has the U.S. equivalent of a cumulative secondary/high school GPA of 3.00 or higher. An international student, for the purposes of this scholarship, is defined as a non-U.S. citizen who graduated from a non-U.S. high school. The International Academic Tuition Scholarship cannot be combined with any other institutional scholarship or grant including FLC Foundation scholarships.
Annual Award Amount: $6000.
Renewal Criteria: Minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA.
FIRST-YEAR NEW MEXICO RECIPROCAL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is a permanent resident of New Mexico; is admitted as a first-time baccalaureate-seeking first-year student for a Fall or Spring semester; has a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.00; AND has a minimum ACT Composite score of 21 or a minimum SAT combined score of 1060. The New Mexico Reciprocal Tuition Scholarship cannot be combined with any other institutional tuition scholarships.
Annual Award Amount: Difference between the cost of Non-resident tuition and the student's share of resident tuition.

FIRST-YEAR PRESIDENTIAL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Annual Award Amount: $5000-$10,000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.
FIRST-YEAR WESTERN UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE (WUE) TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a first-time baccalaureate-seeking first-year student for a Fall or Spring semester; is a permanent resident of a WUE state or territory (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam); has a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.00; AND has a minimum ACT Composite score of 21 or a minimum SAT combined score of 1060.
Annual Award Amount: The difference between the cost of non-resident tuition and one and one half times the student share of resident tuition.
TRANSFER NEW MEXICO RECIPROCAL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is a permanent resident of New Mexico; is admitted as a baccalaureate-seeking transfer for a Fall or Spring semester; has a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00 on college-level credits at their prior institution(s); and is pursuing a first baccalaureate degree. The New Mexico Reciprocal Tuition Scholarship cannot be combined with any other institutional tuition scholarships.
Renewal Criteria: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00.
Award Length: Renewable up to 8 consecutive Fall and Spring semesters or 120 completed credits, whichever occurs first.
TRANSFER TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a baccalaureate-seeking transfer for a Fall or Spring semester; has a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00 on college-level credits at their prior institution(s); and is pursuing a first baccalaureate degree.
Annual Award Amount: Non resident students with college GPA 3.00 - 3.49 - $2500/year; non resident students with college GPA 3.50 and above -$3000/year.
Resident students with college GPA 3.00 -3.49 -$1500/year; resident students with college GPA 3.50 and above -$2000/year
TRANSFER WESTERN UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE (WUE) TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a baccalaureate-seeking transfer for a Fall or Spring semester; is a permanent resident of a WUE state or territory (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam); has a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00 on college-level credits at their prior institution(s); is pursuing a first baccalaureate degree; AND must have a minimum of 30 college-level credits as defined by Fort Lewis College.

FIRST-YEAR FINISH IN FOUR TUITION MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a first-time freshman for a Fall or Spring semester; has confirmed enrollment; has English and Mathematics scores that qualify for college-level placement; has a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.00; AND has a minimum ACT English score of 18 or a minimum SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing score of 470 AND has a minimum ACT mathematics score of 19 or a minimum SAT mathematics score of 500.
Annual Award Amount: $3000-$10,000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.

Minimum Eligibility: Student is a permanent resident of New Mexico; was admitted as a first-time freshman for a Fall or Spring semester; has English and Math scores that qualify for college-level placement; has a cumulative high school GPA of 3.20 or higher and an ACT composite score of 25 or higher or an SAT combined score of 1110 or higher (scoring system prior to March 2016) or 1180 or higher (scoring system beginning March 2016).
Annual Award Amount: Difference between non-resident and resident tuition costs.
INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC TUITION SCHOLARSHIP

TRANSFER TUITION MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a transfer student for a Fall or Spring semester; earned a minimum of 13 college-level credits at their prior institution(s); has a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.00 on college-level credits at their prior institution(s); and is pursuing a first baccalaureate degree.
Annual Award Amount: $1,500 - $3000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a first-time freshman for Augmester or Fall; has completed all requirements of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); is a Colorado resident for tuition classification purposes; reported on the FAFSA that neither parent (birth or adoptive) has an earned baccalaureate degree or higher. Because there is a limited number of these awards, meeting minimum eligibility standards does not result in automatic award.

SOPHOMORE ACHIEVEMENT TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
Minimum Eligibility: Student was admitted as a first-time freshman in Fall 2016 and was not awarded the Freshman New Mexico Reciprocal Tuition Merit Scholarship or the Freshman Tuition Merit Scholarship; completed a minimum of 24 college-level credits by end of Summer 2017 semester; is college-level in English and Math by end of Summer 2017 semester; has minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 by end of Summer 2017 semester.
Annual Award Amount: $2,000-$4,000, depending on tuition classification.
Award Length: Renewable up to 6 consecutive Fall and Spring semesters.
Minimum Eligibility: Student is a permanent resident of New Mexico; was admitted as a transfer student for the Augmester, Fall or Spring semesters; earned a minimum of 13 college-level credits at their prior institution(s); has a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.00 on college-level credits at their prior institution(s); and is pursuing a first baccalaureate degree. Because there is a limited number of these awards, meeting minimum eligibility standards does not result in automatic award.

Annual Award Amount: $1,500-$3,000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.

Because there is a limited number of these awards, meeting minimum eligibility standards does not result in automatic award.

Annual Award Amount: $2,000-$10,000, depending on tuition classification and academic credentials.
Minimum Eligibility: Student is admitted as a transfer student in Fall or Spring; is a permanent resident of New Mexico; has minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00; and is pursuing first baccalaureate degree.
