Subjects ~ Notes: Chief Ouray; ; ; Ute Indians - Colorado--Photographs; Montrose (Colo.)  ~  A stone obelisk monument in memory of Chief Ouray and Chipeta. An oval-shaped raised-relief protrait of Chief Ouray is placed in the monument. Inscribed words are near the base of the monument. A flat snowy landscape and railroad tracks are behind it.    Monument states, "In Memory of Chief Ouray and Chipeta Erected by the State of Colorado in 1926."
