The news and feature stories that get teased on the homepage and posted on the FLC News Blog have a very specific purpose: They share the human side of the College's story. They illustrate, explain, and bring to life distinctive and unique aspects of the FLC experience for a range of audiences.
The primary target audience is potential students and their families; other audiences include community members, media outlets, alumni and friends of the College, and potential donors.
Stories that appear on the FLC homepage also have photo and/or video components. They are also shared via FLC social media. Once posted, these features are available for use on departmental and College webapges, in promotional materials and newsletters, and for re-publication in outside media.
Please note, homepage features generally do not promote upcoming events or address “hard news” topics on campus. Those types of public relations topics are handled by the Public Affairs Officer in the President's Office. Contact Mitch Davis for assistance.
