Make your associate degree a bachelor’s degree

The San Juan College Reciprocal Scholarship allows students and graduates of San Juan College who are New Mexico residents to work toward a baccalaureate degree at Fort Lewis College at the in-state tuition rate. Recipients must complete 30 credits by the end of the academic year with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 to retain the award. Students who graduate from SJC with honors (CGPA of 3.25 or higher) receive an additional $1000 for their first year.

Eligibility

  • You must be a resident of New Mexico
  • You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 from all higher education institutions
  • You must have earned an AA/AS/AAS at San Juan College, and/or graduated from the SJC honors program, before attending FLC
  • You must be applying to FLC for Fall 2019 or later; this scholarship may not be applied retroactively.

No need to apply

While you will be automatically considered for this scholarship during the admission process, you must provide your transcripts showing your SJC degree and/or honors program completion by the Census Date of the semester you’re starting at FLC.

Census Date is the last day of each semester when students can withdraw from classes without incurring a financial penalty. It occurs on the 12th day of classes during the Fall and Spring semesters.
