Merit-based tuition scholarships
When you apply to FLC as a transfer student, you will automatically be considered for our merit-based scholarships. No additional application is necessary. Students will be considered for one merit scholarship; merit scholarships may not be combined.
Transfer Tuition Merit Scholarship
Eligible students (3.0 or higher college-level GPA who have not previously earned a baccalaureate degree) will be automatically considered for this scholarship. It is renewable for up to 8 semesters or 120 earned credits, whichever comes first.

New Mexico Reciprocal Scholarship
For residents of New Mexico
This scholarship brings FLC tuition to the “in-state price” for residents of New Mexico. It is available to transfer students seeking their first baccalaureate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Transfer students must complete 30 credits each year. The scholarship is renewable up to 120 earned credits.
San Juan College Reciprocal Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students transferring from San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico, with a cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher and have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree. Students must be New Mexico residents to be eligible. Students will have to complete 30 credits by the end of the academic year with a minimum CGPA of 2.0. Students graduating with Honors will receive an additional $1,000 for their first year at FLC.
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Scholarship
For residents of AK, AZ, CA, HI, MT, ND, NM, NV, OR, SD, UT, WA, and WY, as well as Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
This scholarship is available to transfer students seeking their first baccalaureate degree with a minimum of 30 college-level credits as defined by Fort Lewis College and a minimum cumulative college GP of 3.0. Transfer students must complete 30 credits each year. The scholarship is renewable up to 120 earned credits.
Foundation, departmental, and alumni scholarships
Foundation & departmental scholarships are sourced from private donors and available to transfer students seeking their first baccalaureate degree. Awards are based on academics, achievement, and financial need. These scholarships require their own application and are due on or before February 1 each year.
Our Alumni Engagement office provides scholarships to the children and grandchildren of FLC alumni. When you complete the application for foundation and departmental scholarships, you will be considered for the Alumni Scholarship.

Financial support for Native American students
Students who are members of US federally recognized Native American tribes may attend FLC tuition free with the Native American Tuition Waiver. Additional expenses still apply.
The Native American Center provides information on scholarships to support students with other expenses such as student fees, housing and meal costs, books, and any other fees.
