Alumni held two fun-filled ski events at Arapahoe Basin and Purgatory where we celebrated Purgs 50th anniversary in February. Nearly a hundred grads from the ’70s to 2015 dropped by our tent to meet staff, hang out with Skyler, and grab a beverage and some FLC swag.
TLC for FLC is Fort Lewis College's premier fundraiser for student scholarships and faculty research. Funds are raised through ticket sales, live and silent auctions, and generous donations. Students from the arts often perform and a great time is had by all!
The Durango Welcome Center is a partnership between Fort Lewis College, the Durango Area Tourism Office, and the Durango Business Improvement District. The center is staffed by FLC students and alumni and showcases FLC’s academic programs and cultural opportunities. The front window is an ever-changing display of events, accomplishments, and programs on campus – here are a few recent displays.
In 1889, Creede, Colorado, was a booming mining town of more than 10,000 residents. Today the home of only 377 residents, Creede still boasts postcard beauty and remarkable geology. Surrounded by October’s golden aspens, 30 current students, 24 alumni, and three geology professors gathered in Creede for a weekend of networking and exploring the area.

FLC donors shared a meal with and saw presentations by students who benefit from scholarships at the Benefactors Brunch in October. The annual gathering is an opportunity for those who support FLC scholarships to meet the students who benefit from that support.
More than 100 alumni, friends, and family turned out in October for the alumni tailgate party at Colorado School of Mines in Golden to enjoy a barbeque lunch and cheer on the Skyhawks as the football team challenged the nation’s 7th ranked team in an old-fashioned RMAC shootout.
