IHS-eligible Native students: FREE COVID VACCINES IN IGNACIO - February 10 & 11

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend, Skyhawks.

I have important and very exciting news from the Southern Ute Tribal Council to share with you—all Indian Health Services-eligible Native students attending Fort Lewis College are invited to the Tribe’s COVID-19 Vaccination Events to be held NEXT WEEK on February 10 & 11, 2021. We’re so grateful to our partners at SUIT; they have emphasized they want as many eligible Native FLC students as possible to register and receive a COVID-19 vaccine. This is a great opportunity to increase our chances of learning in-person all semester long and help us return to normalcy. Ideally, we will have more vaccination opportunities for all of our students, but this is an exciting first step that significantly increases protection from the virus for our entire community.

IHS-eligible individuals are required to register (see link below) and are encouraged to choose morning appointments; please review the information below.

Individuals who wish to receive their first vaccine MUST also attend the second vaccination event to receive the second dose which must be administered four weeks after their first dose.

Booster Event Save the Date: March 10 & 11, 2021

Please take the opportunity to register for your vaccine ASAP as the availability of doses is limited. Fort Lewis College will provide transportation for those that need it; look for more information on transportation options in the coming days. Reach out to me directly if you have any questions.
