FLC students take part in a LeaderShape event in May.

Peak Experiences offers fun, exciting opportunity for new college students

Making the transition to college life can be a challenge for some students. New place, new people, new routine and expectations. For several years, Fort Lewis College (FLC) has run its Peak Experiences programs during the summer months to help introduce new students to college life and connect them with a community to lean on. Now FLC is expanding its Peak Experiences offerings to meet the needs and interests of its diverse student body.

Beginning in July, incoming FLC students will have four Peak Experiences opportunities to choose from, each with a different focus. Food and lodging are included in the cost of the program and financial assistance is available for those who qualify. For more information, visit
