General Education

Students with Previous Degrees

Associate Degrees

Students who complete an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) degree from another Colorado public institution or from a regionally accredited collegiate institution will be waived from any additional lower-division general education requirements at Fort Lewis College, but will be required to complete the upper-division Liberal Art Core/general education requirements (two Education for Global Citizenship courses). Students with an Associate Degree not designated A.A. or A.S. will have their general education requirements reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Bachelor’s Degrees

Students pursuing a second bachelor’s degree after earning the first bachelor’s degree must complete a minimum of 30 additional credits at Fort Lewis College. To be recognized, the first degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. General education requirements are waived for those students whose first degree is a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.
