Exercise Science Learning Community

This program is offered for incoming freshman and in the Fall only. "The Cluster" as it is called is designed for first year students to build connections with the peers as well as faculty. Students enroll in the following courses ES 100 Fitness & Wellness, (1 credit), ES 150 Sociology of Sport (3 credits), ES 243 Personal Health (3 credits). Sections of these courses are designated for students in the learning community only. In addition, students participate in a low ropes course and high ropes course where they engage in a variety of team building activities. There is a $125 fee which covers the transportation costs to the ropes courses, breakfast, lunch and instruction from trained ropes course facilitators.
