To Project the Computer
Turn ON the projector with the control button in the desk. If you don't see the computer image projected after the projector has warmed up make sure the Projector Input Device in the desk above the computer is ON and Computer 1 is selected. For sound make sure the amplifier in the desk is ON, the master volume turned up to around 7, and the volume control labeled Computer is turned up. You may also need to adjust the volume controls on the computer. 
To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

To Project a DVD
Turn ON the projector with the control button in the desk. If you don't see the computer image projected after the projector has warmed up make sure the Projector Input Device in the desk above the computer is ON and Computer 1 is selected. After logging onto the computer insert the DVD into the Disc drive and choose VLC from the list of DVD player programs.  If you don't see the computer image projected after the projector has warmed up make sure the Projector Input Device in the cabinet next to the computer is ON and Computer 1 is selected. A DVD can also be played in the VCR/DVD combo player. Select Video on the Projector Input device. For sound make sure the amplifier (above the computer) power is ON, the master volume turned up to @ 7, and the volume control labeled computer is turned up. You may also need to adjust the volume controls on the computer. 
To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.


Connecting a Laptop
Connect the spare monitor cord kept in the Laptop cable drawer (right side of desk) to the laptop. Turn ON the projector with the control button in the desk. Select Computer 2 on the Projector Input Device in the desk above the computer. For laptop sound connect the spare audio cable (also in the drawer) into the laptop headphone connection. Then make sure the amplifier (above computer) is ON, the master volume turned up to around 7, and the volume control labeled Laptop is turned up. You may also need to adjust the volume controls on the laptop. 
To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

Lights
Besides the fluorescent lights in this room there are dimmable light controls in the desk.
