The Financial Allocation Board (FAB) offers two types of grants that RSO 1s can apply for to help with travel and event expenses. These grants are administered through ASFLC/FAB so contact Lauren Smith, FAB Director, at FAB_Director@fortlewis.edu with any questions.
All grant paperwork can be turned in to the Leadership Center front desk (171 SU) or ASFLC/FAB Office (167 SU), and should be submitted several days before the event/travel takes place (21 days for travel grants, 14 days for event grants). Once your paperwork is reviewed by the FAB Director, a representative of the RSO will be invited to attend a FAB meeting (Tuesdays @ 5:15pm in the Senate Chambers) to present the proposal and answer any questions.
Grant requests up to $500 can be approved through FAB only; amounts over $500 will also need approval from ASFLC.
All event and travel grants for the 2016-17 school year are on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan and apply early. The last day to submit a grant application will be March 24, 2017 should funds still be available. There is no guarantee of funding implied with these grants.
