Facilitators conduct diversity training and anti-bias educational programs to our campus at events, new student orientation and in the classroom. All facilitators are volunteers and have completed an 18 hour training. Facilitators are asked to volunteer for a minimum of 1-2 workshops annually. Through a large network of trained facilitators, Common Ground can provide diversity workshops to thousands of students each year.
Common Ground is seeking staff, faculty and student to participate in the annual facilitator training and become Common Ground facilitators. The training is 18 hours over a three-day period. The goals of the training include:
All FLC faculty, staff and students are eligible. Common Ground typically seeks sophomore and junior students. All interested parties are asked to complete an application. Faculty and staff are encouraged to recommend students to become Common Ground facilitators.
