It's Earth Week and we're celebrating at Fort Lewis College!

Monday, April 17

Trash Bash: 12-4 p.m., Student Union Plaza. Come investigate the contents of our dumpsters at the Student Union- see what we could recycle, compost, etc!

Tuesday, April 18

Extended Free Store: 12-4 p.m., Student Union Plaza. Come shop the Environmental Center's free store for clothing, school supplies, and home goods. Also a great time to donate unwanted items as you prepare to move out of your residence hall!

Tree Planting: 2-3 p.m., meet at the FLC Clocktower. Plant two trees with the Environmental Center in celebration of Earth Day and our Tree Campus USA status!

Wednesday, April 19

Plant Based Challenge: 11 a.m.-2 p.m., San Juan Dining Hall. Can you eat an entirely plant-based meal? Grab a guide to navigating the dining hall options, and receive a prize for your participation. Open to all- First 100 students/staff/faculty without meal plans will receive free entry to the dining hall.

Earth Day Poster Making and Pizza Party: 5:30-7 p.m., Environmental Center. Our April EC Student Gathering will focus on making posters for the Earth Day parade on Saturday.

Thursday, April 20

Garden Workday, 1-2 p.m., Campus Garden, just north of the Center of Southwest Studies parking lot. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle. Open to all!

Friday, April 21

Sustainable Commute Day, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.. Environmental Center. Ride your bike, walk, take public transportation or carpool to school today! If you sustainably commute, please stop by the EC to pick up a prize.

KDUR Radio Hour, 3 p.m. The Environmental Center has created an hour of environmental themed songs and programming for your listening pleasure. Tune in!
