Making space while sharing space

Everyone plays a part in safety while on campus. Face coverings are expected to be worn by all people while on campus when in the presence of others and in public settings where other physical distancing measures are difficult to maintain (for example common spaces, meeting rooms, classrooms, etc.). Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people at all times. Keeping space between you and others is one of the best tools we have to avoid being exposed to the COVID-19 virus and slowing its spread.

We suggest you stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings. Group gatherings will be limited to the current guidance issued by the State, our local health department or campus policies. When walking or traveling on campus, try to stay as far to the right as possible on walkways, hallways and stairways. Travel single file to allow space for others to pass.

Additional details

Gathering in groups on campus

Informal gatherings are currently limited, but these limits may change as we follow local public health and state guidelines on the limitations for attendance at events. Face coverings and physical distancing will still apply.

Modifications to facility spaces on campus

The amount of furniture in classrooms and common spaces will be reduced to accommodate physical distancing. We are adding signage to provide directional guidance in crowded areas such as entranceways, stairwells and elevators.
