Helping you stay on your feet

FLC is committed to working with you to reduce financial stress during this challenging and uncertain time. If you’ve been negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and are experiencing financial hardship, we’re here to help.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III  is authorized by the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and makes assistance available to all credential-seeking students at FLC for the Fall2021 semester.

Funds can be provided to you to be used for any component of your cost of attendance including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, board, transportation, personal expenses or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.

Apply for funding

  • Only one application will be considered per student; students cannot apply for assistance more than once.  Students who have received a Federal Pell Grant disbursement for the Fall semester do not need to apply, they will be automatically considered and notified of eligibility.
  • The application is open to all credential-seeking students enrolled for Fall 2021 semester (e.g. students working towards a certificate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree).
  • The application will stay open for the entirety of the semester, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. However, priority consideration will be given to those who apply by October 18.
  • Qualifying students who apply by  October 18 will receive funds by October 22, 2021. Qualifying students who apply after October 18, 2021 will receive funds within two weeks of their application submission.
