If this is your first semester at FLC (not including transfers), you must be cleared to register and attending an Advising Event is one of the best ways to do it. You'll learn how to use tools to pick the right classes for your major and register for them. You'll also meet your Academic Program Counselor, who will help advise you if you need more detailed advice. Advising Events are open to all students!
Please review the following information to learn more about the best advising assistance for you!
How Drop-in Advising Works:
To prepare for your virtual walk-in visit, please review the resources below. There may be a long wait during your visit and watching these videos can help make sure you know what questions you have.
Once you click the link you will enter a waiting room and then wait to be put in an individual room with an academic counselor. Please be patient as you wait, we are doing our best to serve all students who have registration questions.
If Drop-in Advising does not work, please click here to schedule an appointment.

You can start registering for classes at 7:00 a.m. on your registration start date, unless your have a hold on your account (read more about account holds). You can register for classes on WebOPUS any time between 7:00 a.m. on your registration start date and 11:59 p.m. on Thursday of the first week of that semester's classes. Starting Friday of the first week of the semester, you can only add classes using a Course Addition form (see below). Looking for more information? Check out these registration tips from the Student Success and Advising Office.
You can add classes on WebOPUS until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday of the first week of the semester. Beginning Friday of the first week of the semester, you can only add classes in person at Skyhawk Station using the Course Addition form (must be signed by the instructor).
You will not be eligible to receive federal student loans for courses added after Census, which is Tuesday of the third week of classes (learn more about Census).
DEADLINE: The last regular day of classes is the deadline to add a class.
A registration waitlist is an electronic list of students who are waiting to register for a full class. All classes have an available waitlist except for those that have a required lab with a separate CRN (Course Reference Number: a unique 5-digit number assigned to each class). For example, CHEM 150 has one CRN and the CHEM 150 labs have different CRNs, so that class does not have a waitlist.
For more information on waitlists, including how to join one and how to register off the waitlist, see our Waitlist Information for Students page.
