Faculty provide guidance on information that is very specific to their field, such as research and internship opportunities, regional and national conferences, and clarifications on course material. Faculty are also excellent resources for information about graduate schools and career options in their field. We highly encourage developing strong relationships with your faculty as this will support you in whatever comes next for you after FLC. Some departments match all their students with faculty mentors; other departments favor a more flexible approach. If you've been assigned a faculty mentor from your department, you'll know. Otherwise, we encourage you to develop a professional relationship with one or two faculty whose interests align with your own.
