Online learning options

Online-only

We’ve never been an all-online school, but we’ve always been adaptable. While we are opening campus back up for in-person learning, we have also increased our online course offerings. We’ve already made over 100 (and counting) courses available entirely online to keep you on track with your educational and graduation goals. Tuition and fees are the same for online and in-person courses.

Remote access

Additionally, we have made over 250 courses available for remote access to broaden your options to attend class without ever entering a classroom. These classes will be taught in-person, but you would Zoom into the class. These will require flexibility on your part as the course assignments will likely be modified some to accommodate remote access.

Academics

First-year and transfer students

When you complete Advising 101, please indicate your preference for an online schedule in the notes.

First-year students

If you haven’t completed the Advising 101 questionnaire yet, that’s your next step. Then, make an appointment with Jenna Gilbert to discuss your preference for an online-only schedule.

Transfer students

Make an appointment with Scott Miller to discuss your preference for an online schedule.

  • Call 970-247-7184 to schedule an appointment.

Continuing students

When you register for classes, you’ll have a couple tools at your disposal to help you pick out an online schedule.

Online & remote access class list

Download a list of online classes. We’re updating this list every few days, so keep checking. If you don’t see a course on there that you’d like to see offered online, let us know.

Online registration

For option number 2... when you log in to WebOPUS to register for classes, you can use the Advanced Search to display only the courses offered online. Here’s how:

Go to WebOPUS, then:

  1. Select Student Services
  2. Then Registration
  3. Finally Class Search
  4. Enter the Semester (term) for which you are looking to register
  5. Select Advanced Search (you may ignore the area of study field)
  6. A new page opens with all your advanced search options
  7. Choose “online” in the format field, or "remote access" in the attribute field depending on what you're looking for

This will show you all the courses offered online, or those with a remote access option. Select from those courses to build your online-only schedule.
