Are you ready to take the next steps?
Exercise and Health Promotion majors set right out into their field. You’ll practice your skills with real clients. You get to guide patients in developing physical fitness. You’ll delve into a deep understanding of muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, motor ability, and body composition. And by graduation, you’ll be a candidate for a personal training certification and a direct path into fitness careers.
- Hands-on experience - As part of the program, you will complete an internship in the field. You will also asses and develop fitness programs for actual clients.
- National Council on Strength and Fitness certification - By your senior year, you'll have the option to sit for the National Council on Strength and Fitness Certification exam.
Beyond the Degree
Once you graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Specialist, you are qualified to pursue careers in such fields as:
- Corporate wellness
- Fitness center management
- Gerontology fitness
- Health promotion
- Personal training
- Strength and conditioning
For any career, this degree establishes your ability to work constructively with people in an intensely interactive field. You will gain demonstrable skills in organization, time management, interpersonal development, and physical education.
