Exercise Physiology majors get active with their craft. You’ll analyze real people’s movements and develop personalized exercises for all ages. You’ll get to study exercise’s impact on chronic diseases. You can intern with real companies and complete original research projects. You can adapt training programs for athletes, access the Exercise Physiology Lab, and hone social and leadership skills. And by graduation, you’ll be a candidate for advanced degrees and national certification.

Opportunities

  • Internships - As part of the program, you will complete an internship in the field of exercise physiology. Examples of past internship locations include the Air Force Academy, The Heart Hospital of New Mexico, Mercy Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation, Durango Performance Center, and Med Ex Estes Park.
  • American Society of Exercise Physiology certification - By graduation, you will be prepared to sit for the American Society of Exercise Physiology certification exam.

Beyond the Degree
